Chris Hartwell, MSW. I’ve been designing web sites in the New Orleans area since 1998. I’m also a social worker, which has everything in the world to do with internet marketing. ;)Web Design. It started out as simple as that. Designing web sites for businesses that needed them. Sounds easy, and it is. Anyone can design a web site. But that’s not where it ended. Web design quickly turned into search engine optimization, and then search engine optimization turned into search engine marketing, and then SEM turned into social media marketing, which has since evolved into reputation management and competitive intelligence. It’s been an evolutionary learning experience that’s enriched my life.
Learning internet marketing has put me in a position where I am priveleged to watch how society changes on the internet. This internet thing is ongoing, and to stay successful in the future, one must know internet kung-fu.
Why New Orleans?
Because I love the city. I was born here, and it would take gazillions of pounds of chocolate to entice me to move to another city. New Orleans is now the Internet Marketing capital of the world. Most people don’t know that. But it is to me.
