Amazing $50 Ebay Affiliate Sites **Deal of the Century**

20 12 2007
651.gif I met a guy named Chris on Digital Point the other day, and he did some work for me. He did a really good job, so I asked him if he did anything else. He then tells me about these Ebay affiliate sites that he’s selling to people for dirt cheap. He sends me a bunch of examples, and I was blown away.

The sites are setup using Wordpress with an ebay affiliate feed for whatever type of item category you choose. He sets a cron job to update the feed, and walla! You’ve got an ebay affiliate site, SEO friendly and ready to go in a few hours.

So I had to try this out myself. I bought RolexWatchAuctions.com, and I bought AppleComputerAuctions.com for a friend of mine as a Christmas present. Here are some other sites he’s done:
http://1dollardvd.net
http://rockbandsource.com
http://guccigallery.com
http://mycoachstore.com

I got a few links for RolexWatchAuctions.com, and it’s already on the first page of Google for “rolex watch auctions,” I haven’t even had the site 2 weeks yet.

Here’s what you will need:
  1. Choose a topic that you think will be profitable for an ebay affiliate website.
  2. Create an affiliate account at Commission Junction so you can join the ebay affiliate program.
  3. Buy the domain name.
  4. Choose a Wordpress Theme (I customized the graphics at the top for mine, Chris didn’t do that).
  5. Setup hosting somewhere or add the domain on to an account you have that allows multiple websites.
  6. Send me $50 through Paypal (Click Here), and I will get you in touch with Chris so he can start your site. Make sure you put your email address in the Paypal message if it’s different from your Paypal email.

This offer expires on Jan. 10th, 2008.

Thanks for the plug! I think it should be known that I just received a $9 commission from one of these sites the other day. With some good SEO on the sites, they’re really going to start rocking in the new year.

I used to have affiliate website selling SONY VAIO laptops using CJ links. I made about $1500 before Google moved my site away from serps.

Would you believe that not one person took me up on the offer to have this guy do a site for them? Unreal. I need to get him to build ten more for me.

I just bought 6 more domain names to build more of them too. :o) With the $.99 .info’s, I’m planning on getting several more soon.

Since taffic has picked up to the site in the last 3 days, I made $33 in commission from auctions that were won on ebay. The referrals came into my site through natural search. I can’t wait to really get this thing going. I think it has a lot of potential.

Hi Chris -

I have actually just started doing this same thing a couple of weeks ago. There are 2 sites that are live and 5 more that will be soon and things are going great!

Just curious if you have had copyright infringement issues with some of these sites. None of my sites use a trademarked name in the URL so I have not had those problems, however, I know of many great websites using this same too that have been given Cease and Desist orders . . . . and forced to shut down.

For anyone that reads this – what is outlined here is a great opportunity but you need to keep 3 things in mind:

1) If you use a trademarked name in your URL you will be shut down eventually – so just avoid it from the beginning

2) Put REAL content on your site – this mean genuine, original content. The reason is two fold – first if you lack any real content, Ebay Partner Network can shut you down. Second – original content will drive more people to your site and make you more money.

3) Repeat, repeat, repeat – make as many sites as you can. The process is quite scalable and lucrative so just add more sites as you have time/money to do so. It seems obvious that if you are able to make one site that earns you $200/month with minimal input after it is developed, then if you make 10 of these sites, you can make $2000/month . . . there is no limit. As you pile on the sites (and, presumably make more money) you can start to outsource some of the time consuming steps such as content creation.

Good point Mathew. I did have an issue with a trademarked domain. I just transferred it to the party without asking questions, registered a new generic domain, and 301 redirected everything.

My few sites I did like this have been profitable, but I’m pretty sure it’s only because I picked the right niche markets. Most of the sites Chris did weren’t profitable for him.

You’re right, original content is important, as is getting a few links. Like Sergey posted above, Google tends to drop affiliate sites out of the serp’s.

I stopped building any more of these because it’s just not the way I want to make money. I’d rather put out quality sites with original content. I think it’s a better long term strategy, and I feel better about it. I’ve also focused more on some of my projects that are really popular and profitable for me as well.

Interesting article
It’s my first time to hear about it.I have intended to launch an online shop and finally have a my home based business, but that seems to be very complicated.
It is a nice idea to convert a wordpress blog into a niche site with the use of Wordpress SEO advantages.
I want to ask whether the listings are updated every time there are new Ebay listings or not and how can I promote site.
thank you
