I recently purchased an Acer Aspire Ethos laptop for my business, and the keys are falling off after just over 2 weeks. Acer corporate customer service rep, could only offer 2 day shipping for a repair process that would take 7-10 days, so don’t buy this one!

I was just browsing through some of Bing’s search results for “dedicated server” because I have a site in that niche these days, and I came upon something pretty interesting:

If you notice, the last search result for LiquidWeb’s homepage is indexed with an affiliate tag! I wonder how much commission “sdawkins” is getting off of Bing for this? How many search phrases is it showing up for? Must be nice!

If you look at the backlinks for the URL, it’s nothing but link directories and such. Lucky guy. Bing needs to work on their canonical URL issues here. It wouldn’t hurt for LiquidWeb to have a good SEO on staff either. I can almost guarantee you won’t see this in Google.

and stick to Fox News Channel. It’s amazing to me that even though the Clinton administration is almost singlehandedly responsible for the financial mess we’re in today because of the pressure they put on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to expand mortgage loans to low and moderate income people in 1999, networks like CNBC never mention that kind of stuff. Instead, they support the filthy rich Wall Street crooks who blame George Bush for everything and use smoke and mirrors to shake down the American public.

I recently upgraded to MS Office 2007, not really because I wanted to, but because there were some glitches with Office 2003 that were giving me trouble and I was sick of fighting with them. I tend to avoid new MS products for a while when they first come out due to their mass quantities of bugs and patches…

So the upgrade goes smooth, then I notice the slowdown. OMG every time it does a send / receive, it’s like my computer locks up for 5 seconds! How can Microsoft screw up a simple POP3 connection? Shouldn’t innovative new updates to existing programs IMPROVE their efficiency? Why do we keep having to get bulkier programs that use up more system resources with each new version? This is why I need to buy a new computer every year, to keep up with the trash that MS puts out. Done venting.
